I filmed this from inside my house....It was one of those things that you have to grab the camera and shoot with no time to think about the sound that your recording with it, so sorry about the audio, and its on zoom so its shaky also.

Sometimes I see several Eagles here at one time. Right now there is one sitting in the tree here in the yard. The reason he is here is there is an opening in the ice and he is looking for food.

If your a bird watcher like me, there is no greater thrill than seeing one of these magnificent birds sitting in a tree just a few yards from your house.

I am not big on football but the Super Bowl last night was really a good one.
Seeing the New Orleans Saints win was awesome!!!
Then the half time show with the "Who" was pretty cool also!

I know I said we got lucky and the ice moved without causing any jams, well I was wrong. There was still a jam upstream somewhere and when it moved down here it jammed again. Friday the water started coming up fast like it always does in an ice jam.....it was over our road in places and in the yard before it stopped rising.
So the danger of more flooding is very possible before this jam is gone.

Here is a picture of the jam with a Pheasant crossing the ice.....Pheasants can fly but for some reason this one walked across the river through the ice jam.

I see my premium membership has expired, and really don't think I will renew it since their is not much incentive to do so at this time.

Miracles keep happening in Haiti with more people found alive after 6 through 11 days being buried under the building they were in.
The last one I seen was the guy that had been trapped for 11 days and came out in really good condition, reason being he had access to cookies pop, and Beer!!!!
I continue to pray for these people that they will heal and come out of this horrible act of nature with better housing, cleaner water, better schools, Better government, and just maybe some decent jobs that pay a decent wage. That child slavery will not be tolerated anymore, and those that try to make slaves out of children will be arrested and punished!

The ice moved out of the River over the week-end without incident which is great. Every year we hope that there will be no major ice jams that cause bad flooding. Last year, late Dec. through early Jan. we had a jam that flooded us and left ice around all the trees.....it broke over many of our young trees, and damaged the bark on all of them, but that's just one of those things that you learn to deal with around here.

The pictures below are from a wedding that someone was having at the Disney Hotel where we stayed for a couple days. Talk about a Fairy tail wedding, well this was one for sure. I can only imagine what it cost the Brides parents to have their Daughters wedding there with the Fairy tail coach pulled by 6 white ponies and the coachmen all dressed for the part.
