And I never thought I'd feel this way And as far as I'm concerned I'm glad I got the chance to say That I do believe I love you
And if I should ever go away Well, then close your eyes and try to feel The way we do today And then if you can remember
Keep smilin', keep shinin' Knowin' you can always count on me, for sure That's what friends are for For good times and bad times I'll be on your side forever more That's what friends are for
Well, you came and opened me And now there's so much more I see And so by the way I thank you
Whoa, and then for the times when we're apart Well, then close your eyes and know These words are comin' from my heart And then if you can remember, oh
Keep smiling, keep shining Knowing you can always count on me, for sure That's what friends are for In good times, in bad times I'll be on your side forever more Oh, that's what friends are for
Whoa... oh... oh... keep smilin', keep shinin' Knowin' you can always count on me, for sure That's what friends are for For good times and bad times I'll be on your side forever more That's what friends are for
Keep smilin', keep shinin' Knowin' you can always count on me, oh, for sure 'Cause I tell you that's what friends are for For good times and for bad times I'll be on your side forever more That's what friends are for (That's what friends are for)
On me, for sure That's what friends are for Keep smilin', keep shinin'
I grew up riding Mules, and also working our fields in Kentucky with Mules....I remember one very special one named Kate, and was thinking about her for some reason today, so I thought I would do a post about Mules.
The mule possesses the sobriety, patience, endurance and sure-footedness of the donkey, and the vigour , strength and courage of the horse. Operators of working animals generally find mules preferable to horses: mules show less impatience under the pressure of heavy weights, and their skin, harder and less sensitive than that of horses, renders them more capable of resisting sun and rain. Their hooves are harder than horses', and they show a natural resistance to disease and insects. Many North American farmers with clay soil found mules superior as plow animals, especially in the U.S. state of Missouri, hence the expression "stubborn as a Missouri mule".
Mules are generally less tolerant towards dogs than horses are. They are also capable of striking out with any of their hooves in any direction.
Mules exhibit a higher cognitive intelligence than their parent species - horses and donkeys.
I can't believe summer is over....I have to ask myself, Where did it go???? Seems like it was just a few short weeks ago that I was posting about Springs arrival.
Autumn is my favorite season....Just wish it would stay around longer than it does. I have thought about what it would be like to live in a place where the weather stayed the same year around like Hawaii, and I really don't think I could be happy if I could not witness the changing of the seasons.
I posted this short clip because, it is one of many things about nature that I find very interesting..... The action starts at about 24 seconds into the clip, and it goes fast after that. Ants are amazing creatures, and watching them consume the carcass of this dead Gecko, and take its bones apart to be taken back to the Colony shows just how strong they are.
