 Tough but heart warming story

This little girl's entire family was executed.
They intended to execute her also,
and shot her in the head,
but they failed to kill her.She was cared for by
John's hospital and is healing up,but has been crying and moaning.
The nurses said John is the only one she seems to calm down with,
so John has spent the last four nights holding her while they both sleep in that chair. The little girl is coming along with her healing!

Here is the real "Star" of the war,and he is

 Some of my art work. One of my hobbies

I did not know what to post today, So I decided to post some of my art work. Now I know I am no pro. Its just something I do as a hobby, And I started drawing when I was a child. Most of my work of course is of wildlife and American Indian.

These pictures are small,but the actual paintings were much larger.

This first painting that I named Land Of Rushing Waters, won a purchase award at art show.The bank bought it. I was flattered.

I got the inspiration to do this one from the movie "Jeremiah Johnson".One of my all time favorite movies.If you have never seen it,I highly recommend it.

This one I did because I think Eagles are great subjects.

This painting is large. And as with most of these photos,the color is faded from the flash.It won a judges award at art show.
I was inspired to do this one also from Jeremiah. Wish it was clear so you could see the Indian spearing fish.

Backwater painting is a favorite of mine.I like doing the misty early morning scenes.

Whitetail deer,Another one of my favorite subjects.

Chief Joesph,

Dall Sheep,Laying down on hillside.Also faded from the flash.

Me at an Art show.

 Thought For The Day

In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American
sentiment and negativity,
we should remember England's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview.
When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America,
he said;

"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in....And how many want out."

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you;

1. Jesus Christ, and
2.The American G.I.

One died for your soul,
the other for your freedom.

 If

If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doupt you,
But make allowances for their doupting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about,don't deal in lies,
Or being hated,don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good,nor talk too wise:

If you can dream-and not make dreams your master,
If you can think-and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to,broken,And stoop and build'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and -toss,
And lose,And start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
to serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
except the will which says to them: " Hold On "

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings-nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the earth and everthing that's in it,
And-which is more-you'll be a man,my son!

Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936)

I had to memorize this poem in high school,,and at the time I was so amazed by the words,And I still am today!
