This is me, this is who I am! I have muddy water running threw my veins....LOL
Little Big Town, singing " Boondocks"
Boondocks lyrics
I feel no shame I'm proud of where I came from I was born and raised in the boondocks
One thing I know No matter where I go I keep my heart and soul In the boondocks
I can feel that Muddy water runnin' through my veins I can hear that lullaby of the midnight train And it sings to me and sounds familiar
I can taste that honeysuckle And it's still so sweet When it grows wild On the banks down at old Camp Creek And it calls to me like a warm wind blowin'
It's where I learned about livin' Its where I learned about love Its where I learned about working hard, And having a little was just enough It's where I learned about Jesus And knowin' where I stand You can take it or leave it This is me This is who I am Give me a tin roof, a front porch, and a gravel road And thats home to me, feels like home to me
You get a line I'll get a pole We'll go fishin' in the crawfish hole Five card poker on Saturday night Church on Sunday morning
Sunset here at the River on Monday.
I was doing some work near the shed where we keep the lawn mower, and I found this Tree Frog that had decided it was a good place to hang out for the day.
This is a baby Tree Frog...No bigger than a penny. He is hanging onto a blade of grass.
I took many pictures of this Dragonfly....Thought he was pretty, and made a good subject.
This Pelican had just caught a fish, and decided to fly away with it hanging out of his mouth. Look close, and you can see the tail of the fish sticking out.
Dixie - what a lovely array of pictures you shared and I also really like the song you posted. I trust that you will be blessed as you do your gardening - be safe and keep well! June
Hi June, Thanks on the pictures. I carry a camera with me most of the time, and take lots of photos. Its great we have the digital thing now and I can only keep some of them. It would cost a fortune to develop them like we used to do! I'm happy you liked my song. It does pretty much describe me.... how I was raised, and how I continue to live today. Hope your day is going good. I will be over soon! Dixie

Dixie.....Great way to live I crave for the simple life, just to get lost and never found. Beautiful pictures!!!!!!!!! I've been really slacking this year. I did take a few of the bike ride I've got 2 I really want 2 share with you when I get a minute. I also got some I took on the roller coaster at Six flags before it stopped on a dime going up a big incline( while they located a utility worker to climb up the rails to confiscate my camera)

Sometimes I feel that way too Misty! I am getting worse the older I get about wanting to just stay here and hide from the world. Will be looking forward to seeing the photos of your bike ride. Now I need to ask you what you did to cause them to take your camera from you when you were on a roller coaster???? Thats really crazy! Happy you enjoyed my nature pictures. So far my Turtle eggs have not hatched, and I am thinking they may not be fertile. I am not going to give up on them. At least not for a few more weeks anyway. Well I have to get busy. Thanks for stopping by Misty, I'm am so happy to see you. Love ya, Dixie
Hi there sweetness! I am doing fair...Got the grandkids here, and we are getting ready to cook hot dogs over the camp fire. Hope all is well with you! Love,Dixie
